Death connects us to profound understanding of life. It opens us to the truth of our existence here: the truth of our ephemeral state and the illusion of our separateness.
Grief is uncontrollable and often unforgiving. It is a often viewed as solely an emotional response. Though the true depth of grief is unending and moves through our physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, cultural and spiritual beings.
As humans we will all experience grief ; losing something or someone deeply loved by you. You can not run away from death or grief. It’s time we start sharing about it. Becoming friends with it. So when grief calls we can come to it with awareness, kindness and openness to understanding.
In surrendering to grief, we learn to live.
Only those who have truly loved can experience grief. Some people are too afraid to open their hearts and deeply connect with an other being. They will never feel the depth of grief that you have! Yes when we love, we open ourselves up to the potential loss. But is feeling grief really a bad thing? People pay a lot of money at the amusement park in order to be out of control and feel the gamut of emotions. Grief is human. Grief is amazing.
